Edward England, Conscripted to Piracy

Edward England was serving as a privateer out of Jamaica when his ship was taken by pirates and he was forcibly conscripted into their crew, but he took to piracy very quickly and was with Henry Jennings when he attacked the Spanish treasure camp in Florida. He took his money to Nassau and enjoyed life there as quartermaster to Charles Vane until he gained captaincy of his own ship.  Rather than accept amnesty with the arrival of Woodes Rogers he left for Africa, even attacking a ship from the East India Company, and ended up in the pirate haven on Madagascar.
