Christopher Condent, Rich and Respectable Retirement

Christopher Condent was one of the pirates who followed Charles Vane and left Nassau rather than accept amnesty from Woodes Rogers.  Later deciding that the Bahamas were too risky, he attacked shipping in the southern Caribbean and then off the coast of Africa. After becoming rich he retired from piracy, married and settled as a wealthy gentleman in Saint-Malo, France.
